our projects - Learn East Consortia Project

This Learn East Project is led by The Learning Partnership Bedfordshire and Luton
and is funded by LSIS Regional Response funding.

Project Aims

Learn East is an existing network of learning providers established with support from the Skills Funding Agency under the Working Together strategy to give a voice to civil society in the provision of learning and skills in the East of England.

The purpose of the initiative has been to establish a robust network of providers in each sub-region capable of holding direct contracts and working with other lead providers within the sector as a low-risk, high performance sub contractor.

The Learn East Consortia Project (LEaP) will allow the network to complete its transformation into a fully functioning consortia and key strategic partner within the sector in the East of England.

The project comprises of two phases:

  • Phase 1 - Identify partner strengths / weaknesses
  • Phase 2 - develop / deliver resources / workshops to address weaknesses from Phase 1
