The Big Lottery fund has invested more than £200 million on capacity building for VCS organisations and social enterprises over the last ten years; our nationwide discussion is intended to stimulate debate and thinking to shape, influence and inform our future thinking and investment.
To begin to gather ideas and responses, we have published a discussion document that sets out our key principles for ‘building capabilities within voluntary organisations’. To compliment this and to gather views we have also posted an online survey.

If you know someone whose life has been transformed through learning, or work on an innovative project that has made a significant difference to adults’ lives, then you can nominate them for an Adult Learners’ Week Award.
