Safe Network’s Are they Safe? pack, is a toolkit full of easy to use materials for community and voluntary groups and organisations. The resource includes a step by step guide, a DVD and other information to help managers, staff and volunteers who provide activities to children and young people feel confident about what they need to do to safeguard children effectively.

This includes specifically development staff, from; Councils for Voluntary Youth Services, Rural Community Councils, Community Foundations, Play, Early Years Faith and BME networks and associations and Councils for Voluntary Services, including Voluntary Actions and Community Actions in the East of England

The aim of the workshops is to familiarize participants with the resource and to explore how they can use it to improve safeguarding practice with the groups they support. Participants will be able to run similar workshops and /or small group or one to one work using the Safe Network branding for others in their local areas

This workshop is free; however delegates will need to make a commitment to delivering support via the use of the pack and at least one workshop in their local areas upon completion of the training, which will be supported by the Safe Network.
