Background
Feedback from the recent Skills Partnership Summit of 27 January 2010 included the request for follow up workshops held in the sub-region. These events will be two-fold:

  1. To allow time for discussion on how we work together to take forward the Skills Strategy both regionally and sub-regionally across East of England.
  2. To introduce Amanda Montague and her Skills Strategy team from EEDA, specifically they will communicate and collaborate with all key stakeholders to obtain the evidence base needed for an all encompassing Regional Skills Strategy.

We will also build in time for Q&A and networking opportunities.

We have agreed with our local authority and other sub-regional colleagues to hold the workshops in four separate locations. However, Regional colleagues are welcome to select which location they prefer.

Whilst we have circulated to those partners who attended the Partnership Summit we have agreed with local authority colleagues to circulate to others within their sub region. They will also agree the workshop themes with Amanda during March.

Please book your place now by completing the booking form as we expect take up for all locations to be high.

Return booking forms to marionwilford@eeda.org.uk. Deadline for receipt of booking forms will be 9 April 2010.

The agenda and joining instructions for all four events will be issued week commencing 12 April.

I look forward to seeing you at one of these events.

Regards
